Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a well-known Indian actress, best known for the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. In the late 80s, she began her acting career and became well-known for the character Tezaab which she played alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Her next film was the movie Dil in which she was on screen alongside Aamir Khan. Her birthplace was in a Mumbai middle class family and began dancing in her early years. Early in her life, when she started acting as a young actor, the majority of films she produced were not successful. Eventually she became one the most famous actresses in Indian film. After her marriage, she took a pause in her career. She returned later. In recent years, Dixit had a major role to play on Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit was nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards. Of these she's won eight. Padma Shri is the fourth most prestigious civilian award in India. Her social work is also popular.
